Patches have been posted so it should arrive fairly soon. 2.6.10 should
also fix a pile of other kernel side problems with USB remove of live
"disks". So for planning please assume it'll get sorted by the next
Gnome stable. I believe FreeBSD already correctly handles sync mounted
fat file systems.
