The address would be xml:readwrite:/home/users... rather than just the
file name. For this to do any good though, you will also need to edit
your ~/.gconf.path to include the location in your home dir.
Copy /etc/gconf/2/path
> or make install attempted to install in /etc/gconf anyway.
The GConf makefile stuff should default to sysconfdir/gconf, not
a fixed location; this may be broken.
You probably want to read http://www.gnome.org/projects/gconf/ to get
a conceptual understanding of what's going on, then you can most
likely figure it out and know what needs reporting as a bug.
