As it turns out, it was the confluence of (a) a directory that starts
with zeros, (b) sqlite3 -- not sqlite2 or xattrs, (c) a buggy sqlite
schema, and (d) a buggy workaround for a similar problem.
I've checked a fix for this into svn, r3354. I'm planning on doing a
0.2.16 release next week. Testing of SVN is appreciated.
Joe
