Ok. I quickly went through the bug 348139 conversation - indeed it seems
not so clear where the problem comes from...

To my experience, the problem occurs only after beagled was running for
some time and the beagled-helper had accumulated an amount of memory.
Further, it seemed to me that indexing theses problematic files
(matlab/octave files in my case) takes longer and longer until finally
the helper gets stuck. (In the beginning, beagle is indexing also these
files quite happily.)

So, if you have any ideas on how I could help to resolve this, please
let me know.
