Cheese works fine up to a resolution ( set in preferences )  of 2048 by 1536.
The preview window quits updating for a resolution of 2592 x 1944

This is an old version of Cheese, please try with the latest version(3.10.2) to see if the problem persists. If you can reproduce theproblem with the latest version, please file a bug:
