You could do this using an effect, such as CheeseEffect, but this is not 
supported directly by CheeseAvatarChooser:

There are a couple of bugs open for gnome-video-effects about adding 
overlays as an effect:

The effect descriptions just need to be added for the patch in the first 
video effects bug; it is otherwise ready for merging.
