I lost the previous message, so to make sure, this is my answer to https://mail.gnome.org/archives/buildstream-list/2018-September/msg00072.html. Sorry about that.

Given the work done on the "bst artifact" subcommand and that "checkout" will soon be a subcommand of it, we think it does not make sense to implement "bst checkout --build" anymore, since this would give a weird and inconsistent UX.

Unless somebody disagrees, I think we can call the work on this thread done.
