I much prefer us to keep focussed on the remote execution client only
support for OS X and WSL first.  And to then expand into making
builds work locally on either platform.

Agree?

Right, the only thing I'm skeptical about is continuing support for
running the BuildStream frontend/client under WSL at such a time that
we do get it to work natively on Windows (regardless of local or remote
building only), which should ultimately be the preferred/easier way to
run BuildStream on windows. That said, the effort should be very low to
keep the WSL setup supported so it's not really a point to fuss about.

That said, I admit that I read and replied to this email while only
considering it's content; it was not my intention to try to derail the
work that Phillip is doing into something else.

Baby steps is the right way forward, and the contributions to the
project to get support for remote execution only, on Windows/WSL and on
OSX, are very welcome and highly appreciated.
