Any ideas as to why this would be the case?Seems to be a bug in Banshee then. Please perform again the same test about trying to add a single track, in Ubuntu 13.10, but launching banshee from the command line with "banshee --debug". Then create a bug report in http://bugzilla.gnome.org/ and assign it to me, and attach the log to the bug report. Thanks! I have an update to report on this issue! I haven't submitted a bug report (yet) but I'll do so soon. What I found is this: If I add a track from Banshee to the iPod by dragging the track from the music library to the iPod, Banshee doesn't complete the update (as initially reported). It converts the track but never updates the iPod. Cool. After adding the track, if I access the music files _on the iPod_ and update the properties of a song, Banshee _will_ update the iPod with the tracks I added! So, this is what I do: 1) I add a song from the music library to the iPod by dragging the song to the iPod 2) Banshee converts the song and attempts to update the iPod 3) The iPod doesn't get updated 4) I go to the iPod and select a song 5) I edit the properties of the song and change the genre and click "Ok" 6) Banshee updates the properties of the song _and_ updates the iPod with the song I put on it in step #1 7) The iPod is updated with the new song added and all is well So, I'll re-run the above steps with debug enabled and I'll be sure to submit a bug report. Using the steps above, I have been able to update my iPod on _all_ of the systems I reported as having problems updating it with Banshee. Peace... Tom --
