You mean the track list (the table of tracks, which shows track number,
title, artist, album, play length and a few other bits by default) is
sorted by album/artist, but you want it to be sorted by artist? If so,
just click on the header of the column (the bit above the top track) and
it'll sort by that column. You can do it for any column (although some
are more useful/sensible than others).
