The best way is to ask Banshee dev team for a native support, since possible
workarounds are challenging.
I'm not aware of what Banshee assumes when looking for devices. Anyway it
has something to do with USB.  I'm not willing to dive deep into fake usb
drivers and so on. Hope there is a different way. Maybe it's possible to
mount network share as usbfs. Plus there is  http://usbip.sourceforge.net/
USB/IP  project.
