Well, this are the steps:

  1- Open banshee window

  2- Click into "Recently Added", located on the left side, above Music, that is above "Library"

  

Now, looking to the list of music Banshee is showing me, I can see that first columns are:

  "just an arrow" | Name | Artist | Album | Time | ..... 

I click on the first column (that is filled by just an "arrow") (meaning to sort this column), and nothing happens

When I click on the Name column, or Artist column, I do have an alphabetic order, but clicking on the first column I do not sort anything.

Instead, nothing happens

You can't sort playlists.  Playlists are sorted by the order you added them.
