My Banshee on Ubuntu identifies my iPod and syncs music and video files, excep
t for an annoying issue.
The problem is the sync operation does not end forever. When I hit the "sync"
button on Banshee, it starts syncing and the following messages appear on Bans
hee (the messages are shown in Japanese, so the exact messages in English migh
t be different).
"Adding XX files to iPod", then
"Writing media database"
After these messages, a blank bar seemingly showing an operation being in prog
ress with a moving cursor to right and left show up. The bar never disappear.
I left it overnight, but it didn't complete. Even when I hit the "disconnect"
button on Banshee, it does not end. Yet even when I unmount the iPod from my U
buntu, it does not end.
After physically disconnecting my iPod, I find the media files transferred to
the iPod properly. However, the never-ending sync operation is annoying (to st
op this operation, I have to force-quit Banshee).
How can I properly finish the syncing operation?
Ubuntu: 10.10 Maverick
Banshee: 2.0.0
iPod: Classic 160 GB (6.5 gen)
