Kevin, are you the author of that extension in BCE?

If yes, I would say you can commit it right away so it's easier for the user to test it in the next release. (If not, I would advise to poke the author of the extension or some other b-c-e maintainer)

As for picture size, i keep the picture size banshee downloads at.  i
dont scale them down, and scaling them up, you will lose quality.
