Thank you for the
advice...
Uninstalling the Ubuntu One Music Store add-on was one of the
first things I tried, but it did not resolve the issue. I will go
ahead and try it again, then post the new log.

Your original crash looks like it happens in the
Ubuntu One Music Store. It would be interesting to see if Banshee
still crashes if you uninstall that extension or find some other
way to disable it before starting Banshee. Not sure why your
version number would report 2.2 even after updating to 2.3.1.
If you manage to disable the U1MS extension and Banshee still
crashes, another debug log might be helpful (to make sure it's
the same issue). Either way, this kind of crashing is a bug,
and should probably be reported:

I added the Banshee daily repository to Ubuntu (Oneiric),
then used the
Update Manager to install the update. According to the
update manager the
install went perfectly, yet when I attempt to run Banshee -
not only does it
still crash, but the version number is still 2.2.
I do not see any evidence of there being multiple installs
on my computer,
so I am at a total loss to explain what is going on! Does
anybody have any
ideas about either the crashing or the incorrect version
number?
