I don't think that's it, but wild speculations aren't really going to help our
situation here.

I don't know who suggested switching back to Rhythmbox, but the only valid point
they have against Banshee is that it's still stuck on Gtk2 and that blocks the
UbuntuOne Music Store from being ported to Gtk3.

The other point being that Banshee in Ubuntu is not being well-maintained, but
that's a rather ungrounded opinion, and just plain nonsense, in my opinion.
(Disclaimer: I maintain banshee in Ubuntu).
