I'm guessing your device acts as a mass storage device ?
Banshee uses the information provided by the media-player-info .mpi
files, in order to know about the specific of each mass storage
device. To provide that info, please follow the steps described on
that blog post.

As a stopgap measure until you get the proper info through an update
to media-player-info, you can create a text file named
".is_audio_player" in the top-level folder of your device and put the
info in there. The syntax is described in this page :
