I suppose PlayCount=1, SkipCount=1 results from a bug in handling EOS
(EndOfStream) while gapless playing. Under some circumstances the counter is
incremented twice: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=649962
This bug depends on CPU load and hardware. On high system load and low end
hardware half of the played songs are affected.
My test condition was a new music library with all songs never been played.
I run Banshee to play only songs with "playcount=0 skipcount=0" to make sure
that every song is played a single time and not more. During the test I
varied system load and pressed sometimes the stop or next button.
After the test I found a lot of songs with playcount=2 and sometimes
playcount=1 / skipcount=1
