Do you have tagged your media files in in systematic manner? If not you never
get a clean structure.  

You can tag files after importing. Banshee then re-sorts your library.

1. ALBUMARTISTSORT
2. ALBUM

1. ARTISTSORT
2. ARTIST

(Tag 1. is preferred over 2.)
