I saw this problem on my fedora 15 beta install yesterday. Cover
images weren't being displayed during playback, and I noticed that the
lyrics plugin was running in the background (shown by little spinner
in bottom left). I disabled the lyrics plugin, and my covers started
showing up properly. I need some time to see if I can reproduce the
issue, but you might check if yours behaves the same way.
