First off, thanks everyone for helping out with the brainstorming :)

''Session wide media library''
Cool, wasn't aware that using tracker was a proposed idea already. I
took a look at tracker and it seems like it ought to be useful tbh.
Perhaps a project could be to make banshee use tracker or XESAM
(http://xesam.org/main) if its exposed in the session instead of the
built in library?

''Split video to movies, series etc.''
So if I read this right its on its way but not finished, thus finishing
it could be a project?

''Integration with gnome3''
Hehe, perhaps its boring I don't know. I usually like doing integration
work. Thing is I wonder if its a full project or if its just tweaks here
and there. (I lean towards tweaks)

''Make banshee able to share content''
Very interesting that you would prefer uPnP as thats something our
community (xbmc) is actually contemplating as a possibility to integrate
with the libraries made on a desktop (by banshee etc) and the htpc. This
without having to redo the library. So this could indeed be very useful
between banshee clients and between banshee and xbmc, especially if you
are planning to integrate video management aswell, make and manage the
library in banshee and boom it just pops up on your TV running xbmc,
elisa or something else, very interesting times :)

So the problem I found with rygel, which is worth discussing, is that it
only works if the application injecting data (banshee, rhythmbox etc.)
stays active. i.e. if you quit banshee it takes away the content so its
just a server abstraction. Personally if I have my library in banshee
and wish to share it I would most likely want to share it no matter if
banshee is active or not. I'm not sure if this means rygel needs to be
altered or another backend is in order, I'll try to talk to the rygel
devs and see what their stand is on the subject.

That being said I'd be very happy to do client / server integration of
uPnP, via mono-upnp, rygel or coherence (which is exposed over dbus
aswell but might need some plugins to allow banshee to fill in the data,
I think this is what rhythmbox uses).
