Re: [Banshee-List] Problem with compilation albums



Let me clarify a tiny bit here... I understand that you're attempting to
do some extra, clever stuff... and I actually think the UI you have for
editing the track information is really very good... but I have 2
issues.

1. When confronted with 20 tracks where the Field "ALBUM" is all the
same, and the field "ALBUMSORT" is set to "Various Artists"... why do
you need me to tell you that this is a compilation album by "Various
Artists"?

2. OK, fair enough... maybe there is some reason, the tagging of the
existing files is not perfect... whatever, but when I do spend the time
to correct all that information... why isn't it written back to the tags
in the files, at least an option to do so would make this effort seem
worthwhile, even if I still raise point 1.
