Since the actual music tracks are already on his NAS, Uaebuntu could
run a DLNA server there, e.g. rygel. However Banshee doesn't have
a DLNA client component (yet), so he would loose his preferred
music player :(
DAAP (the Apple way of music sharing) might be an option though,
at least Banshee can be a client and there are FOSS servers available,
e.g.tangerine or forked-daapd.
