I installed rhythmbox and it too fails to play MP3 and MP4A. It gives the
same fault for each file type when started from a terminal as follows :

 rhythmbox

Seems to suggest audioconvert codec/plugin is missing. Am I reading this
right and if I am does anyone know how to fix it? I'm presuming that the
problem is the same one banshee is suffering with. If this is the problem, I
don't understand how upgrading ffmpeg affects gstreamer!!
