Re: [Banshee-List] banshee 2.0.1 broken on opensuse after package upgrades

Does any other Gstreamer-based player work? Like totem or rhythmbox.

Newly installed packages are listed in first posting - all related to

No mono updates were made. The other application in question is goalbit, a
p2p version of vlc.

The output from a terminal-based launch of banshee follows (it's running
under KDE) :

This is looks exactly the same output I have always had - even when banshee
was working.
The problem appears as though banshee can't find the right codecs to play
the music files - but all the codecs are there. Somehow the upgrade of
ffmpeg and associated packages as listed in the first post has prevented
banshee from playing.

I have tried running banshee --debug but it crashes. Are there any more ways
of getting banshee to report verbosely what it's doing?
Thanks
