[Banshee-List] banshee 2.0.1 broken on opensuse after package upgrades

Hope someone can help!
I was quite happily running banshee 2.0.1 on opensuse 11.3 32-bit and
excellent it is too!

I then upgraded some packages to fix some dependency issues with other
application packages and now banshee 2.0.1 won't play anything anymore.

Here is the list of packages that were upgraded (from zypper)

After banshee stopped working, I completely rebuilt it from scratch and
reinstalled it with no errors at all reported. Banshee 2.0.1 starts
perfectly and runs fine except it refuses to play anything - MP3 or MP4A.
No errors or warnings are reported when selecting Play but it will not make
a sound.
During the upgrade it seems that some crucial package was deleted but I
don't know which - there is no log in zypper of deleted packages.
Can anyone help? Thanks
