Re: [Banshee-List] Duplicate Library Entries

I have been using a mostly shared music library (iTunes/Banshee) on a shared
HD partition (NTFS) until I complete the transition one day. So I guess I
am asking for trouble.

However, most of the problem seems associated with FLAC files in the top
level of the music directory tree, which is above the iTunes directories.

Maybe, if the program that downloaded them decided to rewrite the file names
to the drive with a different date at some point between "Rescan Music
Library," Banshee would consider them new additions despite duplicating
URI/path?

But I have been weeding out a handful of duplicates within the Banshee
library that have always existed in iTunes section of the shared music
library directory.

Maybe that could be related to iTunes changing the meta data on a file or
some other operation within iTunes?
