Thanks for the insight on this. I'll keep an eye on the bug report. Meantime,
I find Exaile, which I had tried briefly awhile back, has a device manager
that allows manual control over which USB mass storage devices are scanned.
Other interesting features, as well. Guess that's my next stop, or layover,
anyway. Thanks again.
