Ok, let's do this - we'll put out a 1.6 release on Mar 31, and follow
a rough version of the GNOME release schedule to get there. Here's my
proposal for the modified schedule for the last three months here of
the cycle:
Jan 27 1.5.3
Feb 24 1.5.4
Mar 10 1.5.5 - string freeze
Mar 31 1.6.0
Apr 28 1.6.1
Aaron, others: thoughts?
How does this sit with merging the work from the GSoC students, especially the telepathy integration work looks like a real killer feature which would be great to have as soon as possible. I would worry if stable users would basically need to install this separately for another 9 months (remain 1.6 cycle plus 6 month stable cycle) if it is deemed ready. How far along are we to shipping Cubano as well, I have been trying to follow the progress and while it looked promising I haven't heard anything in a while.
