bug is targeted for Banshee 1.6, but there haven't been a lot of updates
recently.  There's a patch that works (or at least worked at one point) for
updating ratings in Banshee if they were changed on the iPod.  That same bug
report also tracks progress in updating play counts from an iPod, but so far
not much has happened with that, as far as I know.

If you're interested in progress, you may want to subscribe to the bug
reports so you'll be notified of changes.
