Disabling cover art seems to be a bad solution to the symptoms. Why not solve the problem itself instead?

Again, I have to say that maybe somebody should look at bug 584860 [1]. This bug basically makes Banshee useless with iPods. This combined with bug 587376 [2] has made me give up on using Banshee with any DAP. Maybe these bugs should be given a higher priority as DAP support really is a big ticket feature. I've looked at addressing the bugs myself but I just don't have the time to devote to fixing them properly. I've hacked the first one enough to get music on my iPod with /some/ cover art but the solution is very broken and inconsistent. For my Android device, I'll just write my own transcoding script because that's easier for me.

Edit -> Preferences -> Extensions -> Cover Art Fetching -> Disable

My understanding is that it downloads album art by searching on the
song track/artist metadata.  I don't know of a way to disable this
feature, unless it's somewhere in preferences.
