[Banshee-List] Cddb info for ripping CDS

I have just started using Banshee on Mandriva Linux Spring2009.1

it works fine with my iPod, but does not succeed in getting CD title and
track info when I want to rip a CD

the yellow box at the bottom just indicates - Searching for CD metadata -
but it never manages to get it!! presumably it is trying to connect with the
Cddb server?

any suggestions please?
