Hi everyone, I'm trying to add music from my library to my mp3 player, I have
the mass storage, ipod, mtp and media player plugins active. Banshee
recognize my mp3 player and read the music that i have in it, but it doesn't
allow me to drag any music file to my mp3 mass storage device, I tried in
auto-sync mode and works but I can't add music manually, I can delate but I
cannot add. I checked and everything is fine, my mp3 works perfectly and I
can copy and paste files and create folders in it, so that's not a
permissions problem. I have Ubuntu 8.10, Banshee 1.4.3. I found in the
ubuntuforums that I'm not the onlyone with this problem but unfortunatly I
couldn't found any solution.
I will apreciate your help...
I was having a similar problem, and a couple of days I discovered what's going on and how to work around it. I haven't had time to file a bugzilla report yet, but I'll try to get to it later today. Hopefully I can explain clearly what is happening.
What I discovered was that if the DAP entry in the source list was too far down in the side pane, it would become insensitive to drag & drop attempts. It's as though there is an invisible box covering the lower portion of the pane. I'm not sure what the exact pixel position is where it happens. I discovered it by collapsing source trees, and disabling the play queue plugin, causing the DAP source to move up in the pane. At a certain point, it was only sensitive at the top edge of the entry, and getting it to move higher caused it to behave as expected.
I haven't had a chance to check the behavior on my desktop, so I don't know if the insensitive region is fixed from the top of the pane/window, or from the bottom. My laptop has a 1280x800 screen, so dragging items from a playlist becomes problematic if I also have sources like podcasts,
last.fm, videos, etc., pushing the dap source towards the bottom of the window.
Hope this helps you,
Michael Knepher
