This is a bug.  We track our bugs (and enhancements/feature requests)
in issue tracker software/website called bugzilla.  You can search our
bugzilla instance to see if others have had your problem (and if it
has been fixed) by going to this page:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/query.cgi?product=banshee

And searching for "columns" in the bug summary.  Then you can browse
the 16 results and see there is one called

 	Remember columns' sorting and visibility
        http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=524656

Since the bug is already filed, you can (having signed up for a
bugzilla.gnome.org account) add yourself to the CC list to get
e-mailed (CC'd) on all activity on that bug - eg if it's commented on,
a patch proposed, or when it's fixed.

If you weren't to find anything that looked like your bug there, you
should report it, following the instructions on:

http://banshee-project.org/contribute/file-bugs
