I've had similar issues when I moved to Banshee. I'm using the latest
build from the Suse build service and everything displayed correctly in
Exaile before, but I got similar characters on some albums, artists and
titles when importing in to Banshee. I just put it down to bad
characters and slightly different handling of IDv3 tags and edited them
to correct them (luckily you can mass-edit for matching tags).
