[Banshee-List] Banshee odd font characters

I'm using Debian Lenny. I installed Banshee music player [Version 1.0.1]
using synaptic. When I assigned the music folder to banshee it scanned the
folders but it is showing odd characters in banshee. Same folders and files
look fine in the Rhythmbox music player.
So I removed banshee from system. Removed banshee-1 folder from
/home/tushar/.config folder and removed entry from
/home/tushar/.gconf/apps/banshee
I download the source of banshee 1.4 and compiled the code and installed
from the source however I still see weard characters in song list.

Any idea how do i fix this? I also install MS fonts in hope it may need them
due to Mono use.
