So nothing has changed after all of the suggestions. This is still the ONLY
media player that has trouble with sorting. I left click "title" and it
sorts by album. Come on, this should not even be considered a feature
because it is so standard. What gives?

RhythmBox sorts just fine and so does all windows players.
