[Banshee-List] Banshee 0.11 stuck at "Initializing player engine"



Hello,

I have successfully compiled banshee and banshee-official-plugins 0.11
on Gentoo but when I start the application, the progress gets stuck at
"Initializing player engine" for ever (CPU is at 0%) and nothing
happens.

I tried banshee --debug but the output doesn't show anything critical:

** Running Banshee in Debug Mode **
(/usr/lib/banshee/banshee.exe:13555): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **:
GdkPixbufLoader finalized without calling gdk_pixbuf_loader_close() -
this is not allowed. You must explicitly end the data stream to the
loader before dropping the last reference.

Warning: [9/21/2006 9:26:09 AM] (Cannot connect to NetworkManager) - An
available, working network connection will be assumed


Note that the progress bar continues moving forward after the messages
but it gets definitely stuck later.

Any idea how I can debug the situation? Any idea what could be wrong?
