Re: [Banshee-List] Help building Banshee from tarball

Hi John, Alex and sanford,

thanks for the reply.

John, you were right, the libmono-dev had to be installed to be able to compile.

Anyway, in the meanwhile, release 0.11.2 went out and I could build easily. I'm now an happy Banshee User ;-)

Best regards,

Yoann

Hi Yoann,

I'm no expert, but I'm using Ubuntu too and if you do:

apt-get build-dep banshee

which installs all the packages required to build the ubuntu banshee package from source. This should give you what you need.

Hello,

I'd like to test banshee the newest Banshee version.
I downloaded the tarball and followed the instruction in the INSTALL file.

I got an error in the ./configure:

I'm told that the Mono package is not installed although Synaptic tells me that it is.
If someone would like to give me some advices, it'd be more than welcome.

I'm currently running Ubuntu Dapper Drake ( 6.06).

Thanks a lot,

Yoann

NB: Is there a way to install Banshee 0.11.1 through Synaptic, I didn't manage.
