Agreed; quite enough improvements to justify a release!
Cool!
I just pushed a few more cleanups to README; will try to get to the help files later. It would be good to give the translators a couple of weeks' notice before actually releasing, especially if the help files are changed substantially.
Yes, that sounds like a good idea! I.e. around Easter might be a good idea, wouldn't it? BTW, there are still minor inaccuracies in the README – * no OpenSSL dependency any more * gtkhtml4 support has been removed * no aspell libs required (e.g. see attached). Using the current master with IMAP intensely, I had two crashes recently. The first triggered a CRITICAL and then a segfault, and the second a segfault only and (running on Debian Stretch) a memory corruption/suspected double-free report; both not in gdb, unfortunately. Running Balsa in valgrind, I got reports about using uninitialised memory, but no crash. I still have to investigate that, and I'm not sure if its related, though. As running in valgrind is rather slow, the crashed /might/ be caused by a race which is “hidden” by the slow processing in the latter case. Hmmm… Cheers, Albrecht.
