Yes, the released version has a different API from that pre-release version, and installs gtkspell3-3.0.pc to differentiate it. If you've pulled the latest git version, you'll need to install the tarball from <URL:https://sourceforge.net/projects/gtkspell/files/3.0.0/>. The pre-release (+dev) version is a dead-end. Packages of the released version should soon start to become available. Best, Peter
