Hi,

Since Changelog revision 1.870, I've frequent freezes of balsa and it never stops with File -> Quit, I've to use the [x] button of the window. Then the window manager tells the program doesnt answer and ask to force quit.

Hi Jean-Luc!

Is that your first update since 1.1865 (the "implement recursive gdk_threads_{enter,leave}" rev)? Could you run under gdb and get a stack trace?

Well, it is problably other thing. Maybe an upgrade of some library on my Debian sid system: I tried with the vanilia balsa 2.2.5 and got the same problem.

If I've a trace runnign and I do just a file -> quit, I got the following lines: poll([{fd=5, events=POLLIN}, {fd=7, events=POLLIN}, {fd=9, events=POLLIN}, {fd=12, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}, {fd=14, events=POLLIN}, {fd=17, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}, {fd=18, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}, {fd=19, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}, {fd=21, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}, {fd=20, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}, {fd=3, events=POLLIN}, {fd=16, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}], 12, 0) = 0
time(NULL) = 1098902801
stat64(/home/jean-luc/.gnome2/balsa, {st_mode=S_IFREG|0644, st_size=10673, ...}) = 0
time(NULL) = 1098902801
stat64(/home/jean-luc/mail/trash, {st_mode=S_IFREG|0600, st_size=4972382, ...}) = 0
access(/home/jean-luc/mail/trash, W_OK) = 0
open(/home/jean-luc/mail/trash, O_RDWR) = 26
lseek(26, 0, SEEK_CUR) = 0
fcntl64(26, F_SETLK, {type=F_RDLCK, whence=SEEK_SET, start=0, len=0}) = 0
time([1098902801]) = 1098902801
lseek(26, 0, SEEK_SET) = 0
read(26, 000000000000000000000000000..., 4095) = 4095
lseek(26, 4095, SEEK_SET) = 4095
read(26, 000000000000000000000000000..., 128) = 128

And the process stays stuck with this read...

I've found where the problem was located : my trash box was corrupted, there was a lot of binary 0x00 at the beginning of the file.
