In a more perfect world, we would presumably stamp the message to
show what the setting of flow was when it was created (when the
user hit `new message', or when the user hit `send'?), and refer
to the stamp when necessary. I'm not sure about encoding: doesn't
that match the channel we're sending the mail through? If I
change it while messages are queued, should they be sent with the
old setting or the new one?
