In version 1.2.1 you can drag a message from the mailbox index into the 
attachment area of a new message (in fact, any part of the window 
except the text area, where it would appear quoted, or the address 
entry boxes, where it's ignored). Dragging multiple messages works the 
same way.

You cannot yet drag an attachment/part from the attachment list of a 
message at all--is that the capability you are suggesting?  It seems 
like a good idea...
