balsa-1.1.0 - auto mail checking is broken

Folks:

Definitely,  the auto mail checking feature in balsa-1.1.0 is broken,
everytime I need to
shutdown and restart balsa to get my new mail from the server. Below is the
configuration
module (out of my $HOME/.gnome/balsa file).

[MailboxChecking]
AutoDelay=1
OnStartup=true
Auto=true
AutoDelay=1

Any hints, what shall I do in the interim - before the next release come
out.
