Saving passwords

I find it troubling that passwords for IMAP mailboxes are stored in the
.balsarc.  Is this a design decision, or an annoyance to be expected with
software with a revision number of 0.6.0?  I would much prefer to be
prompted for a password the first time I access the mailbox, and have it
cached until balsa exits.
