Hello!
One thing I hate in GUI mailing programs is when you sometimes
need to use the mouse instead for the keyboard.
For example in balsa when I want to Open/Close a new messagebox.
We need to do something about this.
One thing we could do is to always set the focus to the message widget
as soon as a new Message is opened.
And when user need to access folderlist. There should be a
keyboard shortcut "L" (stolen from pine).
And if user want to access subjectlist there should be an
keyboard shortcut like "S" for subject list.
The only thing this callbacks should do is to setfocus to the
folderlist/subjectlist.
Folder list focus:
------------------
As soon as the user clicks or press <return> keyboard
on a messagebox it should open the first unread message in that folder.
And the set focus back to the message widget.
Maybe the "open first unread message" should be an option.
If option is false it should set focus to the subjects widget
as soon as user opens a folder.
Subject list focus:
------------------
As soon as the user clicks or press <return> keyboard
on a message should open the message in that folder.
And the set focus back to the message widget.
If someone have no time to implement this I could send a patch.
If this is ok for the balsa people :-)
Greats
MikeH
