I just went to this site and played with the dates, 935HKD is the lowest 
I got:

Given that the Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees is not close to the venue, have 
you also checked other options like the Novotel or the Eaton in Jordan? 
Those are also not near, but given it's a place for tourists and the 
hotel prices vary a lot there. Or even some other place closer to the 
venue...
