Hi Fred,

Some ideas of business models worth exploring:

"How I got hired to work on GNOME" (from someone who started as a
volunteer & got hired)
"How I built a company around GNOME" (you should invite Matthew Allum)
"Building products using GNOME" (you might try Linpus, Samsung, Red Hat
or Novell)
"Creating value using GNOME technologies" (a company that is making
money or saving money by using GNOME - the film industry in Hollywood
might be a good idea, or maybe a big GNOME user like Google?)

In any case, I'd definitely invite Matthew, or perhaps Murray Cumming.
