Re: COSCUP / GNOME.Asia 2010 Call For Papers

Hi Richard,

Thanks a lot for the proposed remitted version.

Since we are co-host with COSCUP, we need to discuss all the details with COSCUP organization team. We will talk about it in our weekly meeting.

Thanks,
Emily

I enclose a proposed rewrite of the call for papers.

It referred to a single submission page for both events.  I will fetch
that page in this batch of mail.

It described that page as about COSCUP alone, as if the GNOME.Asia
event were part of COSCUP.  I fixed that in this version.

The text gave a tag line "*Open Web and Mobile Technologies*" which
mentions only "open" and not "free" or "freedom".  If COSCUP wants to
have "open" there, we should have "free" there.  I changed it here,
putting in one possible fix as an example.  There are many other ways
to fix this.

The list of possible topics was formatted in a strange way.  It seemed
to divide into two halves, one about "open source" and the other
relating to GNOME, but it did not say so.  Anyway, the first half
referred to "open source" many times.

I saw two possible ways to handle that -- to explicitly divide the two
parts and label them, or to merge them cleanly.  Here I have tried the
latter approach, which means replacing "open source" with "FLOSS".

Since the items were numbered, I preserved that (and corrected the numbering),
but I recommend making them an unnumbered list (unless you have some special
use for these numbers).
